Shannon & Steve

This was an amazing session! I got together with a small group of Virginia photographers to play with this adorable couple. It was around 80 degrees, muggy, light sprinkle here and there, 4 cameras pointing at various angles and directions, and I with a toddler in a back pack and my 9 year old in tow! I generally do not travel with my kiddos. Since this was not an “official” shoot, and hubby was out of town, I went for it. Steve & Shannon were so wonderful, cooperative, and fun! We put them into all kinds of awkward spots, and positions, of course with a vision in mind. And they did it and then some!

Steve and Shannon, thank you! You put up with all of the circumstances, and the images are coming out better than I could expect. I have more images than I know what to do with, but that is a good thing. Here is just a sneak peek of your session through my eyes. Many, many more will be to follow. Congrats on your engagement and good luck on your upcoming wedding! Much love, Marta

Mr. A

We barely got this little guy in on time :). I did this session on his two week birthday, and he was definitely getting more “alert”. We had sleepy spells, but not for long. He is such a beautiful baby boy! Congrats Mom and Dad! I hope to see you again soon.

Curves.

This maternity reminded me so much of my own. I have had 3 children all 8 lb 12 oz – 11 lb 1 oz. The 8.12 was 3 weeks early, so he would have been big as well. Despite the extra roundness and obvious large little boy growing in her, even a curvier maternity can be stunning. It is amazing what our bodies are built to do and endure. It amazes me everytime I see it. I wish them both a very healthy boy. I think we need to take votes on how big is he actually going to be! I am going with 10.2!

WOW! As a photographer, I could not have asked for two better little girls. They were 3 and just under 2 (typically “fun” photography ages), but they did everything I asked, and I got oodles of images of them. Oh, mom and dad were great too! Here is just a peek at some of the images. I may add more down the road once I find my new fav’s. I have been playing with a new vintage wash. Of course I will always still offer it all in my normal crisp and clear and my special B&W.
