All the way from Maryland – Senior

This young lady is the younger sister of one of my gorgeous Brides. Her mother had purchased a session from me back in May and we finally found a chance to get her all the way down to VA for her session. Not only did she make it down, but they brought along 2 other beautiful seniors to have their session done too. So 3 seniors in one day…phew! Most of you know that I generally only do 1 session a day, that way I can concentrate on each client, and so I do not get burnt out on ideas. This session became a challenge to capture each of the girls personalities while shooting 3 in one session. I hope that I was able to give each of them something a little unique. The other two posts will be following shortly.

Miss A and Lucky

It seems like forever since I have blogged, but I believe it has only been about a week. I have been playing some major catch up the last few weeks, and I think I am finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I had the pleasure of playing at a new location with my last senior. New locations are always interesting for me since I have to push my visual eye a bit further than normal. While walking the property I am always scanning for the next spot for photos. Miss A, her mom and Mr. Lucky took me to Belmont Estate. I have wondered Gary Melchers Belmont Estate in the past, but only as a spectator and not a photographer. It is always so intriguing to step into the world of another artist and to even get to wander about his personal art studio. I never expected Belmont to allow us there for a session. Most private locations charge a hefty fee for professional photographers. Belmont was not quite free, but well worth the fee that was charged, and I hope that other clients will be interested in it in the future.

Now onto Miss A. and what a beautiful girl! Stunning strawberry blonde hair and crystal blue eyes always make for gorgeous images. Throw in some of my favorite backlighting and a go with a flow attitude and I am set for a successful session. We had an extra this day. Mr. Lucky came along for two hours of excersize and a few photos with Miss A. Although he was not very keen on my camera in his face, he was very into the extra snuggles and attention that he was getting :).

Miss A is probably going to kill me for showing the photobooth style images, but they were just too cute for me not too! I know she probably thought I was insane when I told her to squat down, and make a bunch of funny faces in a few seconds. I promised her it would make a fun little storyboard and it really did. These are just a touch of the ones I have, and they will all be put together on one fun print.

As always a little enviroment piece is added as well.
