Happy V-day

Valentines Day is not a huge production at our home. Hubby and I are way too practical for that, and to be 100% honest, I am not much of a heart fan. Not the love, heart in your body, passion…but the actual little pink and red hearts that are all over V-day stuff! I know, I know….sounds terrible, but I am not this way just for V-day. I don’t do orange pumpkins, I get the white, blue, grey and peach ones. For X-mas I don’t do red, gold and green, I change it year to year. Maybe it is the artist in me, but I just like to do things a little different.

V-day I don’t do anything (decor wise). But I do get my kiddos a little gift, and some candy (they always like candy) and this year I got them the silly little cards that sing…cause I knew they would get a laugh out of it.

Hubby and I usually get something practical for the house, or that one another needs, we like it like that. Seems simple and boring…but everyday is V-day to us. We don’t feel anymore special towards each other on just one day. I am proud to say that after nearly 15 years I am as just in love with that man, as I was the time he first kissed me. Many days I do not show it enough, distracted by the day to day doings of being a mom of 3 and running 3 businesses. But I do, more than he will probably ever know, and I would be so so so lost without him.

Ok…mushy stuff aside…here are some pics of my kiddos I did for V-day. The fact that my middle son did this willingly and even put on the wings was A M A Z I N G! He usually runs like the wind from my camera, and he is WAY too macho for wings :). But this day, he did it for me…maybe his little Valentines treat to me, and I thank him for that. I love my babies! Now stop reading my blog, and go love someone :) (after the pics of course).

Corin - Oh these are beautiful! They turned out just perfect. I love that red velevt chair also, I’ve been searching for one like it. Hoping one may pop up at the Salvation Army soon.

Great work!
