Love | Virginia Portrait Photographer

I was asked by the lovely Liz Cook of Love & Laughter Photography to capture her and her husband together before he is deployed in January. I grew up with a military Dad…and I know how hard that was as a child. I could not imagine having to loose your best friend, love, partner in crime for any period of time. My hubby and I can barely stand a long day apart. So, I was honored to accept this job…and hopefully I was able to give them both something to hold onto during this time apart. A little visual token of their love for each other.

Golden | Maryland 2010 Senior Photographer

I know I have said this before…but I just love working with seniors. Young adults with the whole world in front of them and eager to step out on their own. Seniors are fun, full of personality and eager to try just about anything! This young lady came all the way to me from Maryland and is going to be a huge asset the society and a budding photographer to boot! I look forward to watching her grow as a photographer and wish her the best in her future college career.

Rain | Northern Virginia Maternity Photographer

This session almost didn’t happen. We were already on our second reschedule (weather), and then of course Hurricane Ida decides to creep in the week of the new date. So as usual I chat with the client in the am, to discuss a possible reschedule…again. Then my client suggests doing a rain session. At first (just getting over being pretty sick) I told myself there was no way I was venturing into the 45 degree wet hurricane induced weather. But then the flashes of cute prego mama, rainboots, umbrellas and such started popping into my head. How can I resist the chance to shoot a very willing client in these types of elements?

First a mini session in my studio style by me and with her extremely cooperative hubby, and then for a crisp walk into the fall colored streets of downtown Fredericksburg. Again with the super hubby that held umbrellas, changes of clothes, and endured the elements so his lovely wife could have a unique maternity session. Thank you to both my clients for letting me play, and see my visions through. For enduring the elements with a great attitude.
