I shoot in the Burg (Fredericksburg, if you didn’t already figure that out) a lot. However, very few of my clients are from/reside in Fredericksburg or the surrounding counties. Most of my clients travel to me from Richmond, Charlottesville, Northern VA, DC and Maryland…or I go to them. For some reason I have yet to be able to place myself amongst the local families…until this week.
I finally had the chance to photograph someone from the area and our youngest children will even be sharing the same preschool next year. I look forward to seeing them more in the fall.
Speaking of their youngest…when I first saw her I had a momentary pang in my gut as the memories flashed back of my only daughter shuffling around our world in similar attire. She LOVED her little smocked dresses and chose to wear one almost daily for a solid 5-6 years. She was then topped off with a matching bow just like this lovely little lady. I miss having a little girl!
