So I kinda went a little crazy this year for my daughters costume for Halloween.
She has been brain storming ideas for months but nothing seemed to click, and they all included A LOT of work from me. Halloween falls in my absolute busiest time of year and the concept of putting together a costume just plain hurts. I have made her costumes almost every year of her life…until the last few years since I started this photography business. We had to settle for store bought costumes that hurt my fashion design core. This year was no different until she final spit out a concept that I just couldn’t resist. The Mad Hatter. See, Alice in Wonderland has been my absolute favorite story since I was a young child. And putting together a girlie Mad Hatter costume with a fashion edge was just too appealing. And it was actually REALLY easy…it was just a matter of finding the pieces. I will post the “How To” at the end of the pictures.
Then I have my two boys. It was obvious what my youngest would be. Allthough I could make a Dinosaur costume for him, we found this one and just couldn’t pass up how cool it was. My oldest son, is the polar opposite of his showy sister and likes to keep things simple and subdued. His costume was the easiest I think I have ever done…a mask and his normal skate attire. As simple as it is, it still turned out really cool, especially on his half pipe.
Enjoy and I hope you had a Happy Halloween.
