I always look forward to sessions with this darling family. See Mama was one of my first “stranger” clients nearly 3 years ago when she was prego with her first. We are far from strangers now. I feel more like an old friend or family member they pop in on every few months, it is comfortable, casual and the kids are very use to me.

This yummy little boy was my very first studio client for his newborn session and was a complete gem the entire time and now he is back at 6 months to ham it up even more. Luckily for Mom and Dad my husband would leave me if I brought home a baby, cause I would have stole him in a hot second! I just can’t wait to see them all again in 6 months!

Be prepared for the yummiest squishiest little boy ever (aside from my own of course :) ).

Casting Call for Nursing/Breastfeeding Mothers and Baby

What I need:

- Mothers willing to nurse/breastfeed their baby for images to be used on a website and office promoting Breastfeeding.

- Signed Model Release for web, print and display

- Travel to my Fredericksburg Studio for session

- Willing to shoot in next couple of weeks

What you will get:

- Free session of you and your baby (session is the model shoot)

- 5 Digital Files from the session

- Option to purchase prints or more files if you wish at a discounted price

How to Submit:

- Send  a recent image of you (unless I have photographed you recently). Snap shots are welcome.

- Current clothing size (for wardrobe styling)

- Your Name, Age, Hair color, Ethnicity (looking for variety)

- Infant age

As I stated in my post New Nerves my studio is a challenge for me. Although the light is divine and more than perfect…the space is  just a space. Light grey walls, wood floors, windows…and whatever I bring in or decide to play with. A far stretch from my normal fields, wall, buildings, and ally ways. When I am outside I know I can find a neat texture, color, or something to work with. Then you stick me in my studio and I get a bit gun shy (not with newborns…the studio was made for that) but it is like facing a blank canvas each time. When I have to work with adults, teens, older children…I am having to challenge my little brain to get a look that fits me, not too “studio” and that I am happy with.

While editing the remainder of this little girl’s session I came across these couple of images. I remembered the moment that Big Sis pulled out her dress. She was hesitant to wear it, but mom insisted, and my brain was already spinning with ideas. So I crossed my fingers and toes that what was in my head would translate…it did.
