Today, Thanksgiving 2011, I am Thankful for the gift of life, love and happiness and for having the great honor of knowing and being the Grand Daughter of John Edward Hansen. Sadly my Gramps left our world for his next greatest adventure into the great unknown on Tuesday, November 22, 2011.
He was a . Husband . Father . Grandfather . Great Grandfather . Veteran . Leader . Pilot . Artist .
Athlete . Builder . Discoverer . Record Breaker . Poet . Writer . Investor . Tutor . Student . Captain .
Fisherman . Friend . and I am sure many more things I have neglected since he spent his life never sitting still…and always on the lookout for another new part of life to learn, love and tackle.
I spent my years growing up knowing him and always holding him high up on a pedestal. He was how I wanted to my life to be. And now after spending my last moments with him, hearing his final words to me “I love you…have a wonderful life”, I am now dedicated to continuing his legacy, his traditions and his wish to me. A new perspective has been placed upon me, and for that I am eternally thankful to him, and wish him nothing less than his worldly dreams on his new adventure he has begun.
Much love to you Gramps,
Tori (aka Marta)
