Willow | Northern Virginia Children’s Photographer

I am finally taking a moment to get to these images, they have been lurking on my desktop for a while now, but clients always come first. These images were taken back in April when Rebecca Conway came to partake in a one on one Evolve mentoring session. My Marta is quite the book worm, she reads non stop and has multiple books going at a time. Being that it is a very big part of her childhood I have been dreaming up ideas of sessions to capture this (there will be more coming). So during this little mini session Rebecca and I shoved her up in a Willow Tree and went to town shooting her. I know I have said it before but my Marta is such a great subject. This was not an easy spot to sit…it took balance, with standing limbs jabbing her in the thigh and a lot of heat. Regardless, you wouldn’t know it from the images.

To my clients: I am wanting to branch out and do more creative/themed sessions. If you are willing, I am ready to play. Email me to discuss some ideas!

Also…stayed tuned to the blog. I will have some give-a-ways and a great sale starting this Saturday (a very special day).

Evolve Belly | Fredericksburg Virginia Maternity & Newborn Photographer

I have been photographing lots of bellies lately, I hope you are not getting tired of them! Good news is after all these bellies I get to see all these newborns too. This session was another Evolve Mentoring session with Rebecca Conway. We had so much fun shooting all these sessions last week!

Evolve Maternity | Northern Virginia Maternity Photographer

Last weekend I had the distinct pleasure of welcoming Rebecca Conway from Knoxville, Tennessee for an in person Evolve Mentoring session. We spent 3 days together, shot 5 sessions, and shop talked until we both passed out at our computers each night. Rebecca is absolutely one to look out for. She has a great eye and a hunger to learn and be the best she can be. I want to add (for her) that she is working feverishly on her site, branding and such the next few weeks so please keep that in mind when you venture over to her site and blog. I would have waited for my posts, but I have some models that are itching pretty bad to see their sneak peeks :)

The Savvy Sisterhood Workshop | Part 2 | Maternity Photographer

During The Savvy Sisterhood Workshop one of my teaching lessons was to run through a mini session and show a touch of my styling, posing, and shooting. Unfortunately (or fortunately) it rained the first 3 days we were there. All the dreams of walking around the gorgeous grounds of The Inn at Perry Cabin in the evening sunlight quickly went out the door. Luckily I had a very sweet volunteer (one of the attendees) to allow me to do a maternity session with her in one of the master suites at the Inn. This sounds easy enough for her right? Not quite. I had to do this lesson 3 times straight, an hour each and in front of 20+ photographers per group. If any of you have been on the other side of the camera you will know just having one person staring at you is hard, try 20+ and in your undies! She was amazing and stunning.

Thank you my Dear for being so wonderful to me and the rest of the Sisters at Savvy! Here are some of my fav’s.

Tell me your favorite!
