…and she comes alive.

This idea has been brewing for some time. I first saw this Pin on Pinterest and pretty much gasped when I saw it. The combination was brilliant, yet simple, casual, yet chic. So I started a board with inspirations for a woodland flannel shoot, knowing exactly where I would shoot it. Mulled the idea around with a friend for a “couples” shoot, then the idea of making it a touch “Little Red Riding Hood and Big Bad Wolf” came to mind and I knew that it had to be kids instead of adults. I also didn’t want it to be in your face “little red” but more fashion.
Within a couple of days and a Pinterest board of inspiration and two moms hunting down the accessories needed, we were off to the location with a fresh stock of Fuji 400 film, basket full of apples and bread (that were gone by the time we were done) and some surprisingly willing kiddos. Shooting film has been my personal “get out of my creative rut” hobby, and I honestly can’t say I love anything more. I am still in the learning phase, and have had to work out many kinks along the way, but I think I am really getting the hang of it and love it to death.
A vision come to life = a photographer high for days.
A special thank you to my dear friend Jen and these very patient and willing kiddos!

She was adorable and so full of character the first time I photographed her…and she didn’t lack an ounce of that a couple of years later. AND…due to an unexpected closing of the farm we were supposed to shoot at..we were able to stumble upon an entire new location! Yay iPhone and teeny bit of on fly vision ;).
Also, I totally want her dress from Tea Collection!
