Downfall of being a newborn photographer is having to give these little bundles back to their parents. But the good thing is that I get to hold and snuggle them for a few minutes so I can get my baby fix in! Enjoy all of his little baby parts.

Sigh…
I have finally started to get some new stuff going on in the studio. This outdoor girl has had a hard time dealing with the constraints of my walls. I adore (would marry if I could) the light in my studio, but I love variety. And I was getting bored. So what do you do when you get bored? Brainstorm…a lot. Try to get inspired, find something new. Something that can fit in a quaint small sized studio, something that will get my photographer juices flowing.
Then one day it hit. First the bed, the light and the window for this maternity session. Then I wanted to amp up my next newborn. The pieces started coming together. Old Thrift Store table I recently painted, white ice bucket, pink shawl and a sweet little pink baby. Take it to the next level with my vintage quilt, and a buttery yellow wrap and I have a set that I am more than happy with. Thank you Rebecca and Cece for letting me play with you!
Little Miss here decided that she needed a more dramatic entry into the world. A week before her Mommy’s Maternity Session was scheduled she made her appearance a full 5 weeks premature. I was finally able to get my hands on her at 3 weeks and she was just finally getting back up to her birth weight of just under 6 lbs. Regardless of her more mature newborn age she showed me her strong little muscles and then slept like a dream.
I have been dying to use these little flower headbands forever now! I have had boy after boy after boy baby lately…love them…but man…when a photog has a new prop, they want to use it! This little sweet heart made me work. Turns out she is a touch particular about being snuggled up close to mama…but we worked and worked and finally got her to snuggle onto my blankets.
