my favorite things

My favorite things is a new thread that I am starting. I will post things that I love and would be great for life, and fun photographs. I am always looking for great new products to use for my sessions. Also look for ideas of where to use these great items for on location sessions.

Imagine these colorful skirts on your little one in a field of buttercups (you will actually see them in use this weekend in a field of buttercups). Or in an urban setting downtown, with some old architecture. Just the pop of color you would need for a contemporary look!

Girls Day Out

An old friend of mine has been making these ADORABLE things. She started out as a jeweler and that is equally beautiful, and back when I had time to knit and sew, she asked me to show her how. Timid and scared, she did. A few pillows here, window treatments there…and now look at her! Clothing :). Of course I am so happy for her…and I have some of this adorable stuff for myself too. My daughter (9) fell in love with the two little skirts that she made her.

Her name is Amy Schilling and she owns and designs everything from Girls Day Out. You can see more of her stuff at her Etsy Store. I am pushing her to make more things. Hopefully she gets cracking on those cute little dresses we were talking about. She is very creative and has a great eye for fabric and color combinations.

Here is just a taste. When my daughter gets home I will take some pics of her skirts as well! Good luck Amy.

Make sure to sign up for the mailing list if you are not already on it. I will be featuring my favorite things every once in a while. I know how I like to find treasures, I figured you would too!
