Rachel & Clarence . 1.7.12 . Lynchburg Wedding . The Aviary

Rachel & Clarence pulled together all of their friends and family to put together an adorable DIY wedding. Rachel kept dropping little hints of ruffle wreaths and pink cakes to me, but little did I know that she did such a gorgeous job with all of her banners, pom poms, fringed photobooth backdrop (yes she made that herself), goodie bags, and even votive tins. First dances to vocals by friends, Father Daughter dances to a song sung by The Brides Sister, catering, cakes, and decor all done by the family or family friends…can I just say this family is FULL of talent!

The Aviary nearly took my breath away. It is a quaint and super well lit and interesting building to work in. It had a so much character that I would jump at the chance to shoot there again. Rachel did such a great job adding just the right amount of string lights and candles to make the most perfect ambient light for the photography (no flash or strobes :) ).

Don’t let me forget the most spiritual ceremony I have seen in a while. Everyone was singing the hymns along side of  personal friends of the couple and then ended the ceremony with a dance down the isle and topped off by a rap by Rachel’s brother who also officiated the ceremony.

I wish Rachel & Clarence the best in making their new home together in Singapore.

Another Belly to One is done! It is so hard to finish these sessions. You get to really know these little people when you see them and interact with them every 3 months. And it is amazing to watch them grow and see how much they change from one session to the next. Happy Birthday Mr. T
